Sneaker Pimps Album Cover Redesign and Product Launch Site

In this project I set out to redesign the cover of Sneaker Pimps' debut album Becoming X, releasing a limited edition LP inline with the albums 30 year anniversary in 2026.
My design needed to work as 12" vinyl but also at very small scale for mobile devices. It should solidify Sneaker Pimps as established artists in the trip-hop genre, as well as celebrating their history. Additionally I set out to create a physical product experience that surpasses the freely available digital streaming, giving users an incentive to actually spend money on music they could get for free.
Using multiple generative AI tools I was able to bring my idea of creating a miniature nostalgic green soldier figurine of the bands lead singer Kelli Ali. This solution creates a transfixing unusual image, this coupled with the figures intense stare and somewhat sexy confident towards the viewers eye is both intriguing as it is unnerving, really suggestive of the eclectic trip-hop genre, but specifically of Sneaker Pimps' sound.
This imagery of a 50mm in height Kelli Ali figurine not only made for a striking album cover but provides a solid foundation for a visual identity around the front cover, allowing me to to adapt the initial concept into an animation, innovative A and B side stickers and a collectable toy box.
